The conference was held in Philadelphia, PA, from August 8-11.
Kevin Koban, Stephanie Bührer, & Jörg Matthes were honored with a Top Paper Award (Theory Paper Competition) for their paper entitled All roads lead to hate? Five prediction paths for online incivility and intolerance perpetration.
Furthermore, Melanie Saumer, Kevin Koban, & Jörg Matthes received the Third Place Top Paper Award (Open Call Competition) for their collaboration titled The dark side of the rainbow: A mobile experience study on community members' exposure frequency and processing of LGBTQIA+-directed digital hostility.
Both awards were presented by the Communication Theory and Methodology Division.
